HB24-1107 Developers Rule Bill Denies Citizens' Constitutional Right to Appeal & Discriminates Against Low & Middle Income Families.

On Friday, March 8th, the Second Reading of HB24-1107 passed with a voice vote. Bill Sponsor, Representative Lindstedt read an amendment to clarify it's JUST RESIDENTIAL 106 Appeals that are being penalized, just their constituents is who they want to deny constitutional rights -- not the developers. It is helpful when leadership punctuates the discrimination. You can watch the 2nd reading below and judge for yourself. Thank you to Representatives Weissman and DeGraaf for standing up for the people's Constitutional rights, public and life safety. Thank you for opposing discrimination against low and middle income residents. Representatives Pugliese and Representative Wilson, both running for office in the Colorado Springs area, argued in support of denying their constituents the right to appeal development. If you oppose losing rights to appeal development, please send an email to the state legislators. You can learn more and find an email list and sample email at our community partner, Westside Watch's, site. 3rd Reading and vote in the House will be Monday, March 10th.
